You can certainly work on it to build up muscle or reduce fat so that its shape is more attractive to you and others; however, there are some things you just cannot change (such as the horizontal and vertical proportions). In any event, there are 8 supermodels in the world. The rest of us are perfect! It’s all about balance and creating illusion.
To have your clothes look really good on you, and for you to feel comfortable and confident in them, they need to fit perfectly. They need to look like they were made for you, almost like a second skin. It’s interesting looking at some of our media personalities and how comfortable they appear in their skin. To be honest most of them are stick thin – not really the most attractive look once you hit 40. Well that’s what a well know plastic surgeon confided in me of his very thin over fit patients. At 40, we actually need to carry an extra kilo or two to soften the lines that nature puts in our faces after we have lived a bit. The thinner you force your body, the more gaunt your face will appear. You’ll just look tired really. |
